EFBA (Education Française Bay Area) and SRFACS (Santa Rosa French American Charter School) are proud to present a brand-new French after-school program for children (K to 6^th Grade). We offer an original curriculum to master children’ skills in French while they’re having fun.

Please, note that this enrichment class is only for kids registered at SRFACS annually. The program is made possible by the generous financial contribution of the SRFACS Parent Association Foundation!

Make the right move at the right moment!

You might have noticed that your child struggles with some French basics and as a result you may also wonder how to help him/her keeping up in class. Well, based on our experience we know that it’s crucial to help children as soon as possible in their learning process, so a small delay won’t turn into bigger gaps in their academic qualifications. We are convinced that the sooner we fill the identified gaps in language learning, the easier it will be for the child to catch up.

We also believe that the more they practice their French in a supportive and playful environment, the more they are willing to speak French instinctively.

Therefore, we created this brand-new program that aims to build upon both native and non-native speakers’ current French language abilities.

What is the class format?

We offer 63 hours per session in a French immersion, structured as follows:

45 min of structured and supervised playtime in French
30 min of language education instruction (vocabulary, conjugation, grammar)
60 min dedicated to improving fluency with a focus on oral competency and conversational practice

What are the significant benefits for the students?

EFBA and SRFACS join forces to improve the French level among the SRFACS students. This new After-school French enrichment program will help:

Support the language immersion,
Focus on oral competency and conversational practice for better results toward bilingualism,
Grows participants’ French skills and improves fluency in a more timely, reliable, and efficient manner.

How does your child qualify for the Enrichment Program?

To qualify for this program, students must be enrolled at SRFACS annually, from Kindergarten to 6^th grade.

What are the objectives of the program?

EFBA and the SRFACS Foundation have committed to creating a sustainable after-school French enrichment program that grows participants’ French language skills and improves their fluency in SRFACS classrooms, thereby reinforcing our school’s quality teaching and benefitting the level of French immersion for everyone. Our goal is to ensure participation by a minimum of 20% of all students at SRFACS over the course of the first year. To help this program be accessible to everyone, EFBA has reduced its costs and the SRFACS Foundation is providing substantial subsidies and scholarships that lower the price for all participants, with scholarships available for 40% of each enrichment course, subject to actual applications received and qualifying on a first-come, first-served basis using eligibility criteria based on the California Department of Education’s 2018-2019 Income Eligibility Scales for Reduced-Price Meals.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

Sign up more than one child and get a $100* rebate per additionnal child by the SRFACS Foundation.
* or $50 for children with 50% scholarship.

Ex: you sign up your three children and do not qualify for a scholarship. You still benefit from a $200 rebate. You will pay $590×3 = $1,770 and you will receive $200 back from the SRFACS Foundation. Total cost: $1,570.

The tuition is to be paid in three parts: $190 per child at registration and the balance in two installments on October 15th and November 15th.

The Foundation will be sending the rebate checks to the parents on October 1st.

This enrichment French class has been designed to improve your children’s reading, listening, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and fluency in French!
