Delightful Apple Pie Adventure: Virtual Cooking Workshop for enrolled in our Summer Camps in 2023!
Event Overview
In celebration of the eagerly awaited launch of registration for our summer escapades, we extend a special invitation to the young participants of EFBA summer camps in 2023. Join us for a delightful and complimentary online cooking workshop, conducted via Zoom, on Saturday, February 3, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It’s an opportunity for budding chefs to come together and craft a scrumptious French classic: the beloved apple pie!
List of ingredients and kitchen utensils needed to participate
Ingredients :
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 150 g of soft diced unsalted butter (taken out of the fridge 3 hours before use)
- 300 g of flour
- 3 oz water
- 5 apples, peeled and cut into 3 mm (1/8 inch) slices
- Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 8 oz apple sauce (for lining the tart base)
Kitchen utensils:
- Ideally, a pie dish; otherwise, a baking sheet will suffice
- A rolling pin is recommended, but if unavailable, you can flatten the dough by hand
- An oven
To Prepare Before the Activity:
- Remove the butter from the fridge three hours before the activity.
- Peel 5 apples and cut them into slices approximately 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick.

Date and time: Saturday, February 3, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (U.S. West Coast time)
Location: Online using Zoom. The link will be provided to you within two days prior to the event.
Target audience: children aged 5 to 12. A knowledge of French is highly recommended, as the activity is conducted entirely in French.
