Escape Games

What do our online Escape Games look like?

Our virtual escape games have been a great success for two years and they are back this year with even more surprises! In total immersion in a fictional adventure, participants progress by overcoming challenges, solving riddles and working together to reach the end of the story. Everything is set up to stimulate thinking while allowing participants to bond together in a friendly atmosphere! They are conducted entirely in French, offering a fun and educational way to not only improve language skills but also to explore and learn about the fascinating cultures of French-speaking countries

Our escape games are led by Louis and Julia from EFBA Summer Camps.

The Secrets of the Magical Grimoire

Sunday, November 9th, 2025, 10 am to 11:30 am PST

The mission:

Louis, a young French student, was inseparable from his great-grandfather, lovingly called Pépé Arcanus. They fished together, painted together, and shared countless simple joys. His passing left a painful emptiness…until Louis inherited the old family manor and uncovered a startling secret: trunks packed with letters signed “Mage Arcanus,” mysterious wands, glowing vials, and even dried frog legs. Could his grandfather have lived a double life…as a sorcerer?

At the bottom of one trunk rests a heavy, ancient grimoire, sealed with the name Arcanus. Notes reveal a terrifying prophecy: on November 9, 2025, at exactly 11:30 a.m., both the manor and the book will self-destruct, unless the long-lost spell is found and spoken aloud. Louis has searched for weeks without success.

Now, only 90 minutes remain before the grimoire is reduced to ashes. The children are summoned into the story: as daring detectives, they must follow Arcanus’s hidden clues, crack his riddles, and reassemble the incantation—before the manor and its magical secrets disappear forever. The countdown has begun!

The Treasure of Pirate Anne Dieu-le-Veut

Saturday, February 7th, 2026, 10 am to 11:30 am PST

The mission:

More than three centuries ago, the legendary Bretonne pirate Anne Dieu-le-Veut is said to have hidden a mysterious treasure in her childhood homeland of Brittany. Before sailing back to the Caribbean, she scattered a trail of clues, concealed in places only she knew…

Centuries later, a passionate treasure hunter uncovers an ancient parchment on the island of Tortuga — the mythical pirate stronghold in the Gulf of California — that reveals the secret. But he’s not the only one on the trail. The French government, having caught wind of the treasure, has already gathered precious intelligence through a secret alliance with a piracy museum. Minister Delarnak, eager to seize the prize for himself, is already en route.

To stay one step ahead, the treasure hunter infiltrates the museum while his partner Julia sets off to follow the hidden clues. But time is running out: in just one hour, Minister Delarnak’s plane will land in France. Once he arrives, the treasure could slip through their fingers forever.

Only the young investigators can help the treasure hunters outwit Anne Dieu-le-Veut’s cunning traps, crack the riddles, and secure the treasure before the ruthless minister gets his hands on it.
