Accredited after-school, summer camps and cultural programs

ACA-Accredited Summer Camps

EFBA summer camps have been accredited by the ACA (American Camp Association) since November 2019. EFBA’s accreditation is reaffirmed through October 2024!

More about the ACA accreditation
ACA is the only national accrediting body for camps of all types. ACA’s accreditation standards focus on health, safety, and risk management, and are used as benchmarks by government entities. The camp’s voluntary participation in the ACA’s professional development and peer-review accreditation process demonstrates a commitment to providing the best possible camp experience for campers, families and camp staff. Our camps are visited every five years.

WASC-Accredited After-School 

EFBA after-school has been accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) since May 2014. Accreditation status is based on the school’s progress report and the satisfactory completion of multiple accreditation visits.
 
On June 29th, 2017, based on the ACS WASC mid-cycle review on May 3rd, EFBA (K-8 grade) meets the ACS WASC criteria for WASC re-accreditation. On February 3rd, 2021, EFBA once again met re-accreditation criteria after the ASC WASC cycle review on October 28th, 2020.
EFBA’s accreditation is now reaffirmed through the end of the six-year cycle ending in June 2027! 

WASC-Accredited Summer Camps 

Since July 2017, EFBA summer camps have been accredited by the WASC too!
With this great French-learning program, EFBA meets the highest standards of language education and offers children and their families the peace of mind that comes with a French immersion camp experience.

WASC-Accredited Cultural Programs 

Did you know that EFBA cultural programs were accredited by the WASC in July 2017 as well?!
Our mission is to intensify the minority language exposure through cultural outings so the children can practice their French while having fun and discovering other countries culture. According to the WASC feedback, this innovative program is a positive and efficient way of learning French!

More about the WASC accreditation

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is an official academic body which is responsible for the accreditation of public and private schools in the USA.

Educational accreditation is a proof of good quality education under which services and operations of educational programs are evaluated to determine if applicable standards are met. If it is the case, accredited status is granted by the WASC.

ACS WASC accreditation is a school improvement process and as a result, it is a process that serves as the foundation for quality education. As an accredited after-school  an accredited  language summer camp and a cultural program in French EFBA provides proof to the broader community and the stakeholders that it is a trustworthy educational institution for student language learning. EFBA is also committed to ongoing improvement to keep the WASC accreditation.

The parents who are assured that our language learning programs are evaluated extensively by professional and independent institutions to conform children’s needs and parent’s expectations. Besides that, the WASC accreditation requires a continual self-evaluation and a constant monitoring of our programs and the measurement of the impact on students outcome. EFBA is offering to their families a high quality certification to ensure them the best educational program.

Parents can be assured that the the after-school program in which they seek to enroll their children has been reviewed and the educational programs that are offered have been evaluated for quality.

Secondly, EBFA as a educational institution, benefits from the stimulus for self-study and self-improvement provided by the accreditation process.
