Escape Games
What do our online Escape Games look like?
Our virtual escape games have been a great success for two years and they are back this year with even more surprises! In total immersion in a fictional adventure, participants progress by overcoming challenges, solving riddles and working together to reach the end of the story. Everything is set up to stimulate thinking while allowing participants to bond together in a friendly atmosphere! They are conducted entirely in French, offering a fun and educational way to not only improve language skills but also to explore and learn about the fascinating cultures of French-speaking countries.
Our escape games are led by Louis and Julia from EFBA Summer Camps.
Who are our escape games for?
Our escape games are designed for children ages 6-12 with prior knowledge of French. To participate, children should be able to:
- Express themselves clearly and comfortably in French.
- Easily understand the main ideas in a conversation on a range of topics.
What do participants need?
During the visit, participants will need:

- A computer (or tablet/laptop) with a webcam (video) and microphone (audio). Participants will need to turn on their cameras to vote and make decisions. The activity will take place on Zoom and the link will be shared with you two days before the event.
- A good internet connection.

The Secret of Coaraze

The mission:
Coaraze, southern France, 1944. After several months of Italian occupation in southeastern France, Italy signs an armistice with the Allies. German forces quickly take control of the region. In the Alpes-Maritimes, the French Resistance grows as Resistance members and others being hunted by German forces seek refuge in the isolated villages and mountains surrounding Nice. Among these hiding places is the small village of Coaraze…
82 years later, Louis, an EFBA camp counselor, is doing some work around his house when he discovers a strange message hidden behind a wall. It appears to have belonged to a member of the French Resistance and mentions mysterious valuable objects hidden in Coaraze during the war. By an incredible coincidence, his friend Julia lives there!
With the children’s help, Louis will have to decipher the documents and solve the puzzles left behind by their mysterious owner. Meanwhile, Julia will be able to continue the investigation on the ground, in the mountains of Coaraze.
Who was behind these mysterious messages? What really happened in Coaraze more than 80 years ago? And most importantly… are the mysterious objects still there?
Collision Alert at the ISS!
Sunday, March 14th, 2027, 10 am to 11:30 am PDT
The mission:
Redu, Belgium. In the heart of the Ardennes lies one of the European Space Agency’s centers, which plays an important role in communicating with satellites orbiting Earth. This morning, the team makes an alarming discovery: a European satellite has veered off course and is heading straight toward the International Space Station! The collision is expected in just one hour.
There is still time to change the satellite’s trajectory… but someone has sabotaged the system used to send commands to it. An accident? Sabotage? And most importantly: which of the center’s employees is responsible?
Running out of options, the investigators in charge of the case call in a team of young detectives for help. Interviews, clues, coded messages, and red herrings await them as they race against the clock. They’ll have 60 minutes to identify the culprit and regain control of the satellite before the collision.
The countdown has begun.
